Iya

The Teachers:

Sheila Haswell is Co-Director of Sarva IYI and has been practising and teaching yoga for over 30 years. She passed her introductory Iyengar Yoga Teachers Certificate in 1980, her Intermediate Junior certificate in 1991, and her Intermediate Senior certificate in 2000. Sheila is also an Iyengar yoga teacher trainer and Moderator. She is a member of the IYA(UK), with a role on the committee, having responsibility for organising the national Introductory Teacher assessments.
Sheila has studied at the Iyengar Institute in Pune, India on several occasions.

Ally Hill is Co-Director of Sarva IYI and gained her Introductory Certificate in October 2004 and her Intermediate Junior Level 1 in March 2007. She has been studying yoga since 1998 and attended the main Institute in Pune, India in 2006 to study directly with the Iyengar family.

Sara Braham gained her Introductory certificate in 2005. She has studied Iyengar yoga since 1999. Sara is also Office Manager here at Sarva.

Linda Jolliffe has been practising yoga for over 16 years and passed her Introductory certificate in 1998 and her Intermediate Junior Level 1 in March 2007. Linda currently teachers classes for both Wycombe District Council and Bucks County Council as well as running her own classes in Bourne End.

Helen Saunders has been practising yoga for over nine years and passed her Introductory certificate in 2000.

Sally Cooper has been practising yoga for 17 years and passed her Introductory certificate in 1998. Sally has also been teaching classes in Maidenhead and Marlow.

Helen Connaughton gained her Introductory Certificate in October 2003. She has been studying yoga for many years and runs her own class in Windsor.

Iya
All yoga classes and workshops at the centre are conducted by teachers who hold the international Iyengar Yoga Certification Mark, a symbol of excellence and authenticity in teaching the Iyengar method in its purest form.
